The United States is, perhaps, the most distant location for a holiday you could imagine. However, as of January 12, 2009, all Australian citizens who are entering the U.S. under the Visa Waiver Program must have authorization to do so before beginning their trip through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization, which is available online.
So, in order to holiday in the U.S., you must first obtain ESTA approval, and then make sure your passport is ready.
